Jessica Cowan is the owner & operator of The Pottery Place of Chattanooga, a paint-your-own pottery studio known for blending Southern hospitality with creativity and fun.

With a background in studio management, franchise operations, and customer experience design, Jessica has built a business rooted in warmth, structure, and heart. Her approach to leadership is equal parts hospitality and strategy — creating workplaces where staff feel empowered to solve problems, care deeply, and deliver genuine connection.

Jessica is also the creator of Studio Standard, an internal training ecosystem used to teach studio operations, customer service, and creative leadership through accessible systems and human-centered learning. With Studio Connect, her goal is to help studio owners turn small creative businesses into places where people thrive — both on staff and as guests.

When she’s not leading her team or developing new training tools, you’ll find her absolutely covered in clay, cheering on her staff, or recording an episode of the Glazed Over Podcast, where she helps studio owners everywhere strengthen their craft, their systems, and their sense of purpose.
